Verwood Moneybox

Circa 1910

This three-tiered moneybox is one of the more unusual products from the prolific potters of the heath land around Verwood, Dorset. They sold their great variety of household wares in the Salisbury district for some 500 years until the 1950s. The three different layers were to collect pounds, shillings and pence.
