Hot off the Press! New Events Booklet

As thoughts begin to turn to autumn, Salisbury Museum is proud to announce the arrival of a new Events booklet, packed with exhibitions, talks, events and activities for all the family, covering September through to March 2017.

Taking inspiration from the major exhibition opening on 17 September, ‘Constable in Context: Salisbury Cathedral from the Meadows in perspective’, the programme aims to put John Constable’s iconic painting in a wide variety of contexts. There is everything from a fascinating glimpse of the man and his late work in a talk by Constable scholar, Anne Lyles, to helping build a life-sized version of the painting in LEGO, and just about everything in between!

So if you have ever wanted to step into a Constable painting; hear the painting brought to life by writers from the Salisbury Fringe; take part in a photographic completion to capture a rainbow over the skies of Salisbury; be part of Talkaoke - a pop-up chat show; or just put your wellies on and walk though the water meadows with experts from Harnham Water Meadows Trust – now is your chance.

The Events booklet will be available from The Salisbury Museum, Salisbury Library, Salisbury Information Centre and many other venues in and around Salisbury.
