It’s an exciting time to become a volunteer at Salisbury Museum. Our new Turner exhibition and Wessex Gallery are now open.
Please come along to our forthcoming Volunteer Recruitment Days to find out about volunteering at the Museum, see behind the scenes and enjoy refreshments. These will be held on:
Tuesday 21 July, 2pm-4pm
Saturday 25 July, 2pm-4pm

The Volunteer roles we are currently recruiting for include:
Welcoming visitors into the museum and helping them to engage with the collections.
Promoting the museum at events across Wiltshire and wider museum marketing
Supporting and leading outreach and school visits and assisting with our family events.
Visitor Services Volunteer
Working in a busy retail environment, welcoming visitors, imparting information and selling tickets.
Helping to conserve and care for the diverse collections through cataloguing and photography.
Enhancing the visitor experience of our exhibitions, orienting visitors and answering questions.
Installing and de-installing exhibitions, painting, hanging artwork and mounting labels.
Assisting with a wide variety of administrative duties covering marketing, fundraising and volunteering.
For all of the above roles we are flexible with the time you can commit and will provide full training.
