Tate Gallery poster design
Watercolour on paper
Design for a Tate Gallery poster. This followed Rex Whistler's successful completion of the restaurant mural at the Tate Gallery in 1927. Two bored ladies are taking tea in the restaurant, unaware that one of the large creatures in the mural has come alive and is humorously observing them. This version of the poster design was never used - perhaps because it was too bloodthirsty.
