Progress with the new Wessex Gallery was revealed as part of Salisbury Museum's archaeology lecture series on Tuesday 11 March. This exclusive behind the scenes tour started with a presentation by lead designer Dmitri Martin of Metaphor, who provided a fascinating insight into the design process. This was followed by a visit to the construction site with Graeme Blakey, Director of Realm, who are the construction company appointed by the museum to undertake the gallery refurbishment. The finale was an up close and personal look at some of the archaeological treasures which will be installed when the Wessex Gallery is finished in June.
