Museum Café – Currently Closed
We have recently said goodbye to our summer pop-u provided by The Wood Bar and do not currently have a café provision at Salisbury Museum whilst we recruit for a new operator to reopen the café with us in the new year, following the completion of the Past Forward redevelopment works.
Salisbury Museum Café Contract – Call for Tenders
The Salisbury Museum Café is superbly located in a Grade I listed building within the Close, at the front of the museum and opposite Salisbury Cathedral the café garden may well have the best view from any café seat in Salisbury, and the business has steadily grown over the past 4 years.
This year, the museum has undergone a major building redevelopment which included the café and kitchen areas. (Find out more about the Past Forward museum development project here)
In late spring 2024 the new museum will re-open. It is our intention to appoint a café operator with a suitable food and beverage offer in the new year, ahead of the launch of the new museum.
We would like the café to appeal to a broad range of audiences, ranging from families with young children to the more mature customer, from museum members to first-time visitors to Salisbury.
The trustees invite tender applications for a three year contract by 5pm on Friday 10th November 2023.
