A day school delivered by Nick Griffiths, FSA. Black and white line illustrations continue to be an essential part of archaeological publications even in an age of computers and digital cameras. The day school will look at the origins of the subject and then demonstrate the ways in which pottery and objects can be accurately portrayed, with examples taken from the Museum’s acclaimed Medieval Catalogue. Tickets are £25 for members and £30 for non-members. A maximum of 15 people can be accommodated on this course.
