It’s back! This year will see the museum grounds full of fun and fascinating stands from archaeology, history and living history experts, providing a packed weekend of entertainment for all ages right in the centre of Salisbury.

Listed in no particular order, the weekend includes;

Rockbourne Roman Villa ~ College of Chivalry ~ Wessex Archaeology ~ The Rifles Museum ~ English Heritage Stonehenge ~ Damian Clarke, Hurdy Gurdy Musician ~ Wiltshire Museum ~ Ancient Wessex Network ~ Companions of the Longbow ~ Cranborne Chase AONB & Chase and Chalk Landscape Partnership Scheme ~ Council for British Archaeology, Wessex ~ Scrapstore (making Amesbury Archer art!) ~ Salisbury Cathedral Education ~ Tim Lowe as ‘Thomas Hardy’ ~ Museum Cafe and much more!

We are proud to be partnering with Wessex Archaeology for screenings of their two latest films:

Saturday 23 July – 1.30pm The Amesbury Archer: 20 Years On, film screening and Q&A. Tickets are free but pre-booking advised

Sunday 24 July – 1.30pm Beyond the Stones, film screening and Q&A. Tickets are free but pre-booking advised

And on Saturday 23 July at 4pm we are delighted to welcome back Professor Alice Roberts to talk about her new book Buried, followed by a book-signing. Tickets for this event are charged for and must be booked separatelynot included in donation admission.

The festival events end at approximately 4pm each day and the museum itself closes at 5pm.
