A talk by Christopher Wright MA FRSA FSA. Christopher, who talked to us about Vermeer in 2008, has made a long career as an art historian, first publishing in the Burlington Magazine in 1969. His main field of interest has been Dutch and French artists of the 17th century and his published work consists of some thirty books on subjects including Rembrandt, Vermeer, Poussin and La Tour. He himself paints in watercolour and was originally trained in Fine Art at the University of Leeds under the direction of the Bloomsbury artist Quentin Bell.
