1930

By Rex Whistler

Watercolour on paper

Mural design for the Tent Room, Port Lympne, Kent. Commissioned by Sir Philip Sassoon. The view shows a Georgian townscape that includes a palladian bridge similar to that at Wilton House. Rex was a regular visitor to the Wilton Estate where his friend Edith Olivier lived.
