Volunteering at Salisbury Museum

If you would like more information about volunteering at Salisbury Museum, please take a look at the Volunteer Hub section of this page. By clicking ‘learn more’ you will be taken to our Volunteer Hub website where you can find out about what it means to be a museum volunteer and complete an application form. Please make sure that you state which role/roles you are applying for in your application.

We are actively seeking to recruit volunteers to join our Engagement Team with weekend and Wednesday afternoon availability only. Please click the link embedded in the title of the role to read the role description.

Those who choose to submit a general application that is not role-specific may not receive a response while our volunteer teams are at capacity.

If you have any queries or concerns about registration, please email the Volunteer Coordinator, Kate Douglas at katedouglas@salisburymuseum.org.uk or call 01722 332151.

Our work experience programme for 2026 is now fully booked.

We will be hosting work experience placements in 2027 for local year 10 and 12 students from the 7th June to the 30th July.

To apply, please download a copy of the application form here and return completed via email to katedouglas@salisburymuseum.org.uk, in person to the museum receptionist or by post to the following address:
