The museum offers a full programme of lectures and courses throughout the year.

Lectures
The museum offers a wide range of lectures covering current thinking on archaeology, local history, art and art history, and the sciences.

Courses
At least one course per year is based on archaeology or a related subject. These are usually  5 - 6 weeks long and include field trips to sites of local interest.  Courses in art history are also offered during the autumn and are generally 5 weeks long. All courses are delivered by professional lecturers, but are not accredited.

Tours
Museum gallery and behind the scenes tours for groups. Please click group visits for further details.

Talks
The museum director and other staff offer talks on a range of subjects including local archaeology, famous Victorians, the King’s House and General Pitt-Rivers. We can also provide object handling sessions on subjects ranging from Stonehenge to World War II. Please call for further details.
