Museum Project Shortlisted for Award

Fashioning Our World shortlisted for prize at the Museums Association Museums Change Lives Awards 2024

Over the course of two years, The Fashioning Our World project: Unpicking the Past to Thread Together the Future, discovered the hidden stories told by clothes and accessories in the past. The project worked in a collaborative way with young people (aged 11 – 25) to share these powerful stories with the community, change attitudes to fashion in the future and help fight the climate crisis.

The Best Museums Change Lives Project Award recognises the best project in the past year that reflects one or more of the themes of the Museums Association’s Museums Change Lives campaign: Promoting Health and Wellbeing; Creating Better Places; and Inspiring Engagement, Reflection and Debate.

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 12 November 2024 as part of the Museums Association’s annual conference taking place in Leeds.
