Thursday, April 17, 2025

7:30pm

In this talk Val Greathead explores her costume design work in the context of 1980s television production and her subsequent creative journey.  Aspects of the design process from initial idea to finished costume are covered and she looks at the skills needed then and now to work in this creative field. She considers the challenges faced by the designer in the days before mobile phones, the internet and next day delivery and asks how these challenges are different from those experienced today.
