A Potted History: Pot Making with Salisbury Museum

10am – 12noon

Join Salisbury Museum and local ceramicist Jane Staniland to explore the ancient art of hand building pots – and get creative with mark-making, decoration and glazing. Be inspired by some of the artefacts on display – from 4,000-year-old Bronze Age burial urns, to elaborate medieval jugs from Laverstock. Learn about pottery production from pre-history to the medieval period and have the rare opportunity to handle and study ceramic artefacts from the stores.
