Fashioning Our Future: Costume Design Workshop

Wednesday, February 18, 2026

Aged 11-18? Join us for this fantastic FREE Costume Design workshop!

10.30am-3.30pm

Are you interested in clothing and fashion?  Have you wondered how costume designers get their ideas?

This one-day workshop for 11 – 18 year olds is led by Val Greathead, former TV costume designer and costume expert, and will give you the opportunity to create your own costume design mood boards and ideas pages.

You will use the seasons and weather as inspiration, as well as items from the Salisbury Museum fashion collection and contemporary fashion and Val will help to inspire your creative ideas using her own sketchbooks and designs.

Materials will be provided.

This workshop is delivered as part of the Fashioning Our Future project, made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
