‘Outside the Window’ is a family day of artistic activities linking to our summer exhibition ‘Hardy’s Wessex’
Being local to Dorchester, artist and teacher Rachel Giles visited two famous houses. First off was Thomas Hardy’s place of birth, the quaint cottage in Thorncombe Woods.
Secondly she visited Max Gate, designed by Hardy and where he wrote ‘Jude the Obscure.’
‘Outside the Window’ is based on Thomas hardy’s local surroundings and what he saw looking out his windows!
Join us and have fun learning about colours and painting techniques. Fun for all ages.
