In the footsteps of Pitt-Rivers a visit to Sandroyd School and the Rushmore Estate led by Adrian Green

We have been given special permission by Sandyord School to offer a tour of the school building and estate – which used to be the home of celebrated archaeologist General Pitt-Rivers.

In the morning we will explore the house and formal grounds, looking at the many features that will survive from the General’s time. There will be a light lunch at midday, please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.  In the afternoon we will head out into the wider estate on foot to see some of the archaeological sites excavated by Pitt-Rivers (this will be a circular walk of about four miles).

This tour will be limited to 25 places and led by Salisbury Museum Director Adrian Green
