Young Curators Club ~ July with ‘Weorod’ living history Saxons

Saturday, July 29, 2023

In July’s Young Curator’s Club we will be meeting living history Saxon experts ‘Weorod’

Weorod portrays the peoples of what some still refer to as the ‘Dark Ages’. They take pride in ensuring that only the correct costume and other equipment is displayed before the public. Their chosen time period falls within the fifth to seventh centuries (425-680 or thereabouts). All members of Weorod have a complete set of kit, finely tuned to this era.

Young Curators will be meeting the group, hearing about what they do and trying some activities from many, many years ago.

Places need to be booked in advance and each child must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This session runs 10.30am – 12.30pm
