Cotton Day Dress

1827-32

Sleeves with multiple puffs were a popular trend in the early 1800s. Often held up with sleeve supports stuffed with feathers, these extravagant sleeves are found on both expensive ladies’ dresses as well everyday wear despite the added expense of the extra fabric. Sleeves are an ever changing trend and puffed sleeves are often seen in fashion today.
