Acting Workshop!

Ever watched a TV program, film or seen a play at the theatre and thought ‘I could do that’ or ‘I wonder how they do that?’

Now is your chance!

Actor Tim Lowe has performed for us on numerous occasions as General Pitt-Rivers, King Alfred and a World War One sergeant.

This summer Tim has taken on the role as writer Thomas Hardy as part of our summer exhibition ‘Hardy’s Wessex.’

Having entertained visitors to much acclaim at the summer ‘Festival of Archaeology’, Tim returns to the museum with his Thomas Hardy role, but this time to share with you some of the secrets of how he puts together a character and immerses himself in a role to become a convincing alter ego.

Using props from the museum’s extensive dressing up collection, Tim will be leading a workshop repeated twice in the day and helping you explore the inner actor.

This is suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by their adults.

Session 1 – 10.00am  – 12.00 noon

Session 2 – 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Just bring enthusiasm!
